Strange frogspawn incident

So I had a frogspawn with two small heads, about 2 months ago one shriveled up never to be seen again, a week later the second head popped itself off of the skeleton. It floated around the tank for a few days finally settling in a hole in a rock. It was there for a week or so and still had its color and then it disappeared. Here we are a month later and this little frogspawn remnant has reappeared and attached itself to a leather coral. Has anyone heard of this, is it still alive?

It's possible. But the relationship is not going to be happy for one of them. You might take a razor and cut the leather (not it) to free it, then run carbon (always when cutting a leather or softie). Put the head in a small, round juice glass, spot-feeding it now and again if it doesn't seem to get enough. They WILL grow a stony foot, if they can avoid getting moved and swept up, and if the calcium content of the water is sufficient. Are you supplementing calcium in your tank? This is ultimately a necessity with stony coral.
