Wink Happysak's DIY LED supplemental light project

First of all, big thanks to Greg(ghellin) for help and support.

Project difficulty: Intermediate
Tools needed: Soldering iron, wire cutter-stripper
Supplies: LED(daah), wire, c-channel( I went with square tubing), thermal epoxy(or screws), LED driver, optics(optional)( Feel free to add)
Time: 1 hr. to 1.5 hr

This is why I need a better camera my phone can't do LEDs justice.

looks nice!! I did the similar DIY LED light with my TED light. I really like the shimmer effect

How does the channel hold up to the heat that the LEDs create?

Does it dissapiate it enough, or have you supplemented fans on them?

Why I ask is that I was thinking about using the same channel to light my cube with LEDs (Instead of a traditional heatsink), but was unsure how well they 'lost' the heat from the LEDs.
