Forum Prize Giveaway for Jackson Area Reef Club members

I am starting to feel a little better today and thought I would pick an item out to give to one of our JARC members here on Reef Central. I will see what kind of response we get to judge an ending time to this giveaway.

Prize: API Reef Master Test Kit First off, this isn't new. It contains the following tests:

Nitrate (both bottles are about full)
Phosphate (both bottles are about full)
Calcium (limited amount of tests left)
Carbonate Hardness KH (limited amount of tests left - bottle #2 very low)

This would work great for members that do not have a test kit, are almost out of test solution, or want a backup test kit for a second opinion.

Rules:

  1. You must be a Jackson Area Reef Club Member
  2. Reply to the Prize thread with your RC name only
  3. Only enter the contest if you want to win the prize
  4. You must setup a time and place to pickup your prize or collect it at the next meeting

I will be giving away other items on the forum, so check back for updates and see what all is going on with our club members while you are at it.

Take care,

Tech Diver

Basically you would just reply with your RC name or you could give your real name which is up to you.

So if I were going for this I would respond to the thread with simply, TechDiver. I would then take the list of names and write them out on paper. Then I would draw one of the names to pick a winner.

Don't worry, we will have new items and gift certificates as well.

For me its not that this isn't a good item, but I just bought one last week and I wouldn't want to get in the way of somebody that may really need one.

I like the item as well but don't need one right now. I like the member raffle idea though.

Since there were only two entries, I used a coin toss with witnesses present. The first entry was heads and the second was tails. The winner of the above prize is jtrip.

But I have discovered more bottles of tests not in a case, so Marshall still gets some goods as well. It looks like Marshall gets API High Range pH, Calcium, Nitrate, Nitrite, and KH tests. There are no test tubes or container with the second set, but I can get you some test tubes if you don't have some already.

Yes, you won. The prize is free, but we will have to collect a small fee for shipping and handling ($29.99). Just kidding, I'll get it to you. I forget where you live. Is Jackson closer to you? I work downtown Jackson M-F. I can also bring items to the next meeting. It is up to you.

Marshall is so close I can almost throw it over to his yard, but I will probably just drop it by instead.
