swithing to Ro/DI water
I have been using tap water, for my 36 gallon for over a year, initial water and all water changes.
I now purchased a RO/DI filter. What is the best way to do water change effectivly? contunie doing 25% change with the R/O water? or do 50% water change right away? I have 8 fish in there, and some snails and lots of live rock, plus few smal leather corals. I dont want to kill anything. any advice? |

If you don't have any problems with the tank (algae, out of whack chem, dying corals) then just continue doing your normal water changes with water from the new filter.

i'm assuming if you are switching to ro/di you have had problems with algae or why buy one rt? if thats the case you can do a large water change, lets say 50% and then continue to do 20-25% changes every couple of weeks.
