Pro Aquatic Sump
I have a pro aquatic wet/dry sump, rated for a 300 gallon tank, which is running on my 240 fresh water tank currently. Can I use this for a sump if I convert to salt? Any problems anyone see?
Just a picture I pulled from the internet that look almost exactly like the one I have. |

I think you should be fine just lose the bio balls.

The one thing I was thinking, while running this sump currently, the water level in the sump is just at the bottom of the bio-balls. If I shut my pump off, the water fills the sump just about 3" from the top.
Is that going to be a problem since I wont have much volume in the sump while things are running? Second question, on a 240 gallon tank and a small sump like mine, is the sump going to be that beneficial? Last edited by BoisBlancBoy; 03/06/2011 at 05:23 PM. |
