I'm no expert, but Aiptasia-X worked like a charm for us.
We added 2 peppermint shrimps afterward, but to get rid of the too big ones, we used that product. IIRC, it cost like 20$ for a small bottle, but which would last something like... 100 aiptasia or more. Btw, when it reads "within minutes, the aiptasia implodes" on the bottle, believe it! |

I've always mixed up some Kalk past and used a plastic syringe to shoot some right into their oral disc while they are open. They close right up, drawing in the Kalk, and never come back.

I have used lemon juice in a syringe - inject it into the base and they draw up and melt away.

I have an oxyacetylene torch. Brought the rock out to the garage in a bucket, fired up the welder, and literally melted the aptasia away. Two mushrooms on the rock survived collateral damage.

I just tried Zap-tasia and it worked really well for me. They shriveled up and fell off flaky. It's a fairly new product. I did have to buy the syringe separately though.

We've used Aiptasia-X and Blue Life Aiptasia control.
The blue life product seemed to clog in the syringe it came with, but the product worked really well. The Aiptasia-X came with a syringe and two different needles, one is curved, which works great! I would buy the Aiptasia-X just for the application syringes |

Aptasia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi cp4sno ; I usually use my powdered reef advantage calcium but when mixing a thick paste to smear or inject into the aptasia do not touch it because it can burn the skin in that concentrated state. I would like to try lemon juice to see how well it works....it is probably less caustic to your tank... Good Luck and Happy Reefing!!!!!!!

burn them with a little torch or a grill lighter it will kill the spores as well. for the amount of rock, this will be the cheapest way.

If you want to burn them off, a soldering iron is safer than a flame. I have been using one to kill bryopsis.
