Marine Solutions got some of them in today. They look a little more compact than a modded maxijet, and not as much flow (1300 vs. 1600/2000 gph). But you could almost buy two of these for what a 1200/sure flow mod would cost.
The impeller assembly looks pretty much like the sure flow, but has three blades instead of two. If they can in fact be run on a wavemaker, I wonder if it's because of the third blade. I emailed Marineland to find out if they can be used on a wavemaker. Haven't heard back yet. |

Anyone ever hear if they can be used with a WM?......If they can be I may try them on my 48x24x18 90g.

I asked them if the powerheads could be used with a Red Sea wavemaker, the response I got from Marineland:
"Hello, We have not tested it in this application as that is not our product so we couldn't say for sure. Regards, Marineland" |
