Tank update/LeD Update...and Excited for Cmas Swap

Hope there is gonna be alot of SPS frags at the CMAS swap

decided to turn my 24g into a SPS tank .. since i just recently had my LeD's tested at my LFS .. i dont remember the termonology used.. but under the light reader.. they had a HQI / double t5 light setup.. 5'' under the water the light reader read 50 (again i dont remember the termonology) , after that, put my LeD setup 8 white 12 blues Cree LED / 80 degree optics..
under the light reader 5'' under the water read 108.. .more then double this was also (both hqi and led fixture were about 2 ft above their frag tank when tested)

needless to say after finding out how bright my lights actually are.. i went home and raised them ...now sitting 4'' above my tank (reason i did this i noticed some corals had really good growth but started to almost have a translucent haze to em, so paranoid like i am, wanted to know where my lights sat on the meter)

now knowing i got the lightage to grow/maintain any coral id like (is what i was told) i decided to go with a unique looking SPS setup in my tank

all my LPS/Softies will eventually be moved to my 75g probably after CMAS Swap.

Here is where my lights stand now..
some maye say its to high.. idk any feedback is welcome.. i might lower it about 6'' and see how it looks, wanted to see how corals react to it, they seem to like it still

Some SPS ive collected already.. just to see how they like it, had it for about 2-3 weeks now all 3 pieces seem to enjoy it, got full color.. the ones like a mint green/white polyps (milli) the other 2 are a purplish/greenish 1 has red polyps other has purple/white polyps, and dont forget my candy cane / star polyps and big ole zoo/paly rock :P

Any feedback id love to hear it and pointers on SPS? any names i should look for at Frag swap for sps?

At that Hight I would try some narrow lenses like 30 or 40 at most. You are loosing alot par with theses 80 lenses.

If it was me I would use the 75 for SPS and keep the nano for softies unless you have a heater, chiller and controller connected to the Nano. SPS is expensive and parameters can change in a heart beat on a Nano and I can't begin to count the stories Ive read about Nano's crashing. Either way good luck and the light looks great.

ya i got a heater in my tank, my tank is no higher then 81..and no lower then 78...i dont need achiller due to led's dont give off any heat... and they are so far up.. for the almost year this nano's been setup its heat has been pretty stable.. and a steady.. my parameters pretty steady..
i would like to make the 75g a sps tank, but isnt near ready or estbalished enough.. who knows maybe ill start it out in my 24g and move it over to my 75

i just couldnt beleive how much more intense my LeD's were then the HQI setup at my LFS.. haha when we turned the lights on, we head them pointed away from us at a customer not really realizing it.. almost gave the person heart attack, definantly some deer n' headlights when they come on
