Need a few strong backs for 15 minutes...in Reading.
I need to get my tank out of my living room and out to the patio where it can be cleaned and repaired. It's 8ft long of acrylic..which actually isn't as heavy as it looks, but in the past it took 3 people to move it safely.
I'm looking to do the move Saturday evening...any able bodies available? With my bad back I need to be careful...I'm not the spring chicken I used to be. ..so I'd like to find 3 more people. I'm in the 19609 zipcode if you want to google me. |

Thanks everybody... I really wanted to be done before dark because we need to go out the front door and around the side of the house, but it's dark early so that probably won't happen. Joe just told me anytime after 4pm so I think I'm going to call it for 7pm....I figure by then everybody is done eating, but not yet out for the evening.
Normally I would invite everybody over for pizza and beer but my wife is still not feeling well so I really need to keep visitors to a minimum right now...not to mention I have a 3 year old to feed and get ready for bed. I've actually done this move with 2 teenagers and myself (pre-back surgery) so it's not really heavy...just bulky. I currently have Joe (insanefishguy) and Nick (nkd5025) on board so I'd like atleast 1 if not two more. This will be litterally a 5 minute job. For those that can't help this Saturday but offered for others...don't worry...I will need to get it BACK in either next weekend or the weekend after, depending how much free time I have to fix it (and if the weather holds out). Joe and Nick already have my address so anybody else that can give me a "yes" to 7pm send me a PM and I'll send you my address and other info. Thanks again! Thanks again...I'll post a time hea |

Good luck and let me know when you need to get it back in.
PS. Hope your move goes better than mine did today! My flame angel pulled a disappearing act with only one rock left in the tank... and only about 3 inches of water. One second I saw him swimming around the rock.. next nowhere to be found. I searched that damn rock for 20mins and for the life of me couldn't find him Nick |

Everybody's out. 1 definite casualty AFTER he was out (a shrimp goby) and I don't know if my pistol shrimp made it...I heard him ONCE downstairs, but then I relocated some rock to a bin that won't support life (I have 3 bins of rock, could only keep 2 on the system) so I don't know which one he's in and I haven't heard him since.

I'm going to weldon into the cracks and then secure a piece below and possibly above. Thankfully the crack is in a generally non-visible area.
PM's going out now... |

Well the tank is out side...it was a pretty smooth 4 man +/- 2 woman job. Thanks!
Now I just need some warm weather to work on it. The tank stand wasn't as bad as I thought, but I'm going on that as the cause and resurfacing it so I'll go for "perfectly" level this time...we'll see. |
