Equipment cabinet

I don't have room under my stand for my electronics (RKL, Vortech drivers, battery backup, ect.) so im building a cabinet to hang on the wall next to the tank to house everything in a clean and tidy fashion

built the cabinet 24" x 24" square that is 5 1/2" deep

cut holes in it for ventilation and wires

stained the cabinet black, trying to get a glossy piano finish

and heres how I plan to layout the equipment

Nice. I love the dark stain.

I tried doing the piano finish on a friends stand and it was a PITA. If you're really set on that gloss finish, we had to bondo the stand and sand down to polishing grit. Then stain and polish back and forth... it took forever.

Yea I've read that its a pita, but I'm doing it the lazy/poor mans way, I've got 8 thick coats of stain and it's getting glossy, it might work, it probably won't, but as long as it's black and clean looking I wont really care

Stain didn't come out like I was hoping so I sanded it down and primered it

Also cut some angle aluminum so I can mount the faceplates

Still have to finish the faceplates, finish painting, mount my ventilation fans, and wire everything up, still slot of work to be done, need to stop slacking
