RODI question 4stage or 5
I have been wanting an Rodi Unit for a pretty long time. I was looking on buckeyefriledsupply.com and i am completely confused on what to get. They have 4stage premiums series and 5 stage special series. I know the 5 stage is for chloramine and apperently my water doesnt need that 5th stage, but would it hurt to get it? its not to much difference in price so i was thinking better safe then sorry. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
BTW i have a 125 gallon in an apartment |

Call Ur local water company and find out if they use chloramines to treat the water. I didn't think mine did but when I called them they said they do use chloramines. So I purchased the BRS 6 stage chloramine deluxe RO unit. The 6th stage is just another DI canister I'm sure you could get away with the 5 stage unit.

The chloramine phase generally isn't needed:
http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-1...ture/index.php What are the stages of each model? I would get one with a sediment filter, an activated carbon filter, a RO membrane, and a DI filter. A second DI filter can be convenient, especially with very high TDS water, but it's not generally necessary.
