Red cotton ?
I have this red cotton looking stuff growing in my tank that I can't get rid of. It comes off really easy by hand or a brush but it sticks to other rocks and starts growing there.
Looks like and feels like cotton balls to me..lol I'll try to post a pic Thanks for looking |

Probably red cotton algae. Can be a pain to get rid of, mexican turbos ate mine

You might find some pictures if you Google Asparagopsis, or some similar name. I had this in my tank. It went away with some nutrient control.
