booster and permeate pump

Hello all,

I have a drinking RO system (have 2.2 gallon tank), but my pressure is only 38psi and it creates 6:1 waist water. Looks like I need a buster pump.
I was looking at few but they are very expensive around $140. In my search I found a Permeate Pump for like $40. I know that it requires a tank, which I have. I was just wondering if that permeate pump would work? Anybody has any experience with it? My goal is to increase the pressure and lover waist water.
Thank you
