Lighting Advice Please

I am setting up a 65 gallon, LPS dominated tank. My question is, at 24" deep, would a 4 bulb T5 give me sufficient light, or should I go with 6 bulbs? I greatly appreciate your time!

Thanks,
Rad

For LPS a 4 bulb should be fine. The biggest issue with only 4 bulbs is the bulb combos. It is A LOT easier to find a good combo you like with 6 bulbs.

For the 24" depth, it is more about a quality fixture with good reflectors to penetrate the water.

For a combo I was thinking 2 ati blue+, 1 ati blue special, and a fiji purple.

Any suggestions on a light? I'm want a good light, but can't afford any of the ridiuclous models. Thanks again

A 4 bulb Tek would do the job.

I would say to avoid running the Aquablue bulbs. On my 4 bulb setup the only combo I found to work was 3 ATI Blue Plus and 1 ATI Purple Plus. The Fiji Purple is a great bulb as well but not worth the extra $10.

Awesome thank you! What is it that you do not like about the aquablues?
