anemones taking over?
so weve noticed since we got the tank last thursday that white ball anemones are sprouting up around the tank. two areas have a combined count of around 30 or so. also, im guessing some clones came up from my current large green tip anemones. how do i get rid of all these things? and how are they growing so damn fast?they all just sprouted up in the last 4 days(the white ball anemones not green tip).

Those are not Aiptasia, and they may not be majanos. I have a couple of those in dark places - under pieces of LR, etc. Chuck's addiction has a photo of majanos that shows something similar, but the majanos I'm familiar with look more like miniature sebaes, so I'm not sure. Mine look just like yours - a ballish body with clear tentacles and white tips. Very small. I inject them when I see 'em, but they always grow back and my peppermint shrimp won't touch them.
Feather dusters are awesome.

Look up strawberry anemone or ball anemone. Probably that. Apparently they can sting, but tend to not be a problem. I have some. They tend to hide in more shadowy spots. I don't believe they are really photosynthetic but worth reading up to get the real details.

Psuedocorynactis (sp?) Generally considered as nice to have. Usually will not bother anything as they tend to like the shadier spots in the tank. Often they show up shortly after the cycle then either dwindle out or move further in the rockwork and you don't see them until re-arrange the aquascape.

Ball tip anemone.... they pack a sting so as long as they stay away from corals they are fine
