Red face vertex illumina sr 600

hi,

i was looking at putting a vertex illumina over my new tank but i can only afford the sr 600 do you think that it will have enough spread to be visually pleasing.

my tank is 60 x 30 x 30 inches

if you put the light in the centre of the tank you would have only covered 1/3 of your tank here is a pic of mine with 2/3s of my panels turned off. if you have a fish only it may work,

that is with panels 0,1,2 off and 7,8,9 off being you tank is deeper and wider you would have even more loss of light. and my light is quite high at current moment so is throwing more light out.
My suggestion would be wait a while save some coin and get sr1200... i cant see the point in spending that much money, when once you have you are going to want to upgrade because the sr600 wont do what you want it to do.

sure please do. it is very easyand quite cheap i think was AUD$150 even i could do it, but there is one suggestion i would make, and that is along the bottom supports make a upside down u so you can sit cables in there, as it is i have to remove the tunzes to remove the light hood but next time i take it down i will be making the mod
if you wanna have a look at my build so far it is here

But i stand by my suggestion of saving some extra cash, these lights rock you wont be disappointed, or even just fish only for a while and run some second hand t5's at least tank will be running
