Remora C bubble problem

I just purchased a second hand Remora C HOB skimmer. Started producing foam skimate quickly. My problem is that it is producing millions of tiny air bubbles in the display tank. When the maxi jet is running, the tiny bubbles are blowing around the tank in a psychodelic blizzard. The effect it had on the SPS was complete polyp retraction. The effect on me was complete In A Gotta Da Vida, Timothy Leary flashback.

I turned off the jet and have let the skimmer continue to due it's work. I called the seller but they were not able to help. I see a screw head on top of the in flow tube inside the skimmer. Is this an air adjustment?

Has anyone else seen this and what is my course of action?
thanks
kevin

You may want to do a search for micro bubbles and the Remora. They should die down after the skimmer gets broken in, but I doubt they'll disappear completely. When I had mine, I ended up buying the surface skimmer box for it which helps, but takes up a lot of real estate in the tank. Also, if you don't have an ATO, if the water level drops below the teeth on the box, the MJ will run dry making a hideous sound. HTH

Thanks. I let it run for a couple of days with the jets off. The micro bubbles mostly cleared up. I turned the jets back on and the the result is acceptable but not great. I have the surface skimmer but as stated, it takes up far to much space. This is in a 10g tank, so the box is not an option. I just got back in town so I will do the search on the micro bubbles and the remora.

Thank you,
kevin
