JBJ Oceanstream Circulation Pump Question
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Has anyone used the new JBJ Oceanstream Circulation Pump/Powerhead 500 gph? I would like to hook two up to a wavemaker and was wondering what your experence has been. I was leaning towards the Hydor Koralia Evolution but read where they make a lot of noise when connected to a wavemaker. |

The JBJ pumps look cheap to me. I just got a Evolution 1050 and it works great on my wave maker, starts up every time and is nice and quite. The old Korilias are noise when used on a waver maker. Tunze are also great and the best is Vortec.

I am also thinking about getting these. Not bad for ~$100 for 2 poweheads with wavemaker package (JBJ Oceanstream Circulation Pump/Powerhead + Duo Wavemaker Kit 1600 gph). From the 9 reviews on Marine Depot all positive. Nobody complained about click or noise issue. I think these may be a better option on wavemaker than the Koralia Evo...Too manu complaints about reverse start, click, and excessive noise with the Evo.

I've been running the 1600s for about 3 months. I have heard many reviews that say they are quiet but mine hum a little. I seriously doubt the 1600 gph claim. But, for the price, I like them.

im running these about a month and a half now, no complaints whatsoever...works quietly. As previous poster said however, doubt its 1600 gph. Would still recommend it though.
