Replacing T5 ballast question.
Looking for reliable and easy to wire for my 4x54 watt fixture. I see on BRS that they have the Fulham workhorse line. They are not too expensive and claim to be easy to install. Would these be a good choice?
Thanks, Mark |

No.
Get some spec T5 ballasts. They are all pretty easy to wire up and install. I would contact Reefgeek or Premium Aquatics. Workhorse ballasts are not made for T5 bulbs. Someone just figured out they would fire the bulbs because they are fluorescent technology. With a workhorse ballast you will immediately lose 15-20% of the PAR you could be getting. Get the right ballasts for the job.
