I need some help! Aqua Medic Aquaspacelite value and suggested replacement light.

I have been in and out of the hobby way too long now but openly admit I don't know as much as I should. I scored a wicked deal on a tank stand light combo, but the light isn't intended to be used on this size tank. I am setting up the new 225g starfire tank to be mostly FOWLR but intend on having some corals in there.....I am lazy so it will probably be mushrooms and softies. The thing I am trying to decide is....I got an Aquaspacelite 2 X 150 DE MH and 2 X 24 PC light in the deal. I also have a slew of extra stuff that came with it. There are 4extra aqualine 10000 lamps and 4 extra pc's. I can't tell if the extra lamps are new or not......would it be REAL obvious or not? Back to the matter at hand. I am guessing I need more light for a 72" 24" by 30" high tank? If so...what is the minimum/most efficient set up I can get away with? I love MH shimmer and lights, but want to keep the fixture just above a normal canopy height....8"-10" or so. I also love the idea of a single unit......no retrofits this go round. Thoughts on the value of the aqualite if I need to sell it to upgrade? What should I upgrade to? If I poasted some photos of the lamps could you easily tell me that they are new....or old?

Thanks in advance.....

Come on kids....I know you all can help. The main problem with the current light is that it is a 48" light going over my 72" tank. I don't want to keep it 18" off the top to get the light to distribute over the entire tank. If my questions are too lame to answer.....just let me know.

Thanks
