Maroon clown and shrimp?

yeah, i was just wondering if a maroon clown would nip at a decorative shrimp so much that it would be bad for the shrimp?

Not in my experience. They pretty much understand each other.

While your tank won't have any problems from adding a maroon clown you might. I am into reefing for mainly corals which makes me have to have my hands in my tank more than I would like. I have a maroon clown from hell that would attack with everything in him. While he didn't do any damage to me it really made it hard to do anything on my tank by myself with that fish constantly going into kill mode. I eventually gave him to a buddy of mine that had a tank full of aggressive clowns. The clown and I are much happier being apart.

pretty, but grow huge, and have visible teeth, which they will use on their owner; ditto the clarkii clowns---smaller, but meaner than a junkyard dog. They don't seem to notice shrimp, but do notice any fish getting close to their nem.

I had a rude awaking by my maroon clown. He seemed like the friendliest fish ever until I had to fix somthing in my tank. He zoomed after my hand in a bink and "nipped". It surprised me so that when I pulled my hand out real fast, I almost had more water on the floor than in the tank Now I have hubby stand nearby with a net to keep him away.
