BRS has great RO/DI units. I bought one from them about 2 months ago and I couldn't be happier with it. It is made of very good quality, their customer service is great, shipping was free and fast, and took me about 3 minutes to install.

Great system. I bought the same unit about 15 months ago and have had absolutely no problems with it. As Lacosta28 says, good quality and easy to install. IMO, you can't go wrong with this RO/DI unit.

Sounds like its a good unit. How have you installed your unit? I want to install it under the sink but does that mean it will always be producing water if it is hooked into the water line? or is there an on/off switch? Cause I don't need 75 gallons of water a day only have a 14g biocube and 5.5 pico.

BRS sells an adapter that hooks up to the faucet cold water line that is not permanent. It also comes with a valve to turn the unit off and on. Otherwise you could just hook up an in line ball valve before the ro unit and after your needle valve.

Just purchased the BRS 75GPD 5 Stage Plus today. Super excited to get it. Also got the 150GPD saver and a bunch of other goodies from BRS today.
Make sure you check into the BRS Forum and get into a group buy. Will save you like 19 dollars on the Plus system. They run every week. |

I'm planning on getting this unit myself. My intention is to tap off the toilet water supply line in our spare bath and then simply fill into a container in the tub. This gives me no fear of an overflow, and allows me to conveniently crop the waste line into the tub drain. Anyone have any advice on doing this? How difficult is this? I'm thinking that I'll be doing this probably sometime in June. Vacation coming up next month so funds are a bit tight at the moment.

If you haven't found it yet, go to the Forum home page, that lists all the different sections. Scroll down to Sponsor Forums and they are listed in alphabetical order. Find BulkReefSupply and there is a thread there for next weeks group buy which start May 2.

Goto the Bulk Reef Supply in the sponsor forums and sing up for a group buy. There is one going almost every week (sometimes several). It will save you about 10%.

I love my BRS RO/DI system. I only have the 4 stage system but it still works wonderfully!

The only piece I needed to buy was a hose type Y adaptor so I could put it off my washing machine fixture.

While I was shopping BRS I picked up a refractometer, 100# Pukani, 30# shelf, and some bulkheads. Also Brandon answered all of my questions and they even called me about what I wanted for my rock. I am very happy with their service, and based on everyones response on these forums, I am sure I will be happy with their product as well. |
