Bubble Magnus skimmer

Anyone have any input on a bubble magnus skimmer, are they any good? I'm thinking of putting one on my nano tank.

I have one, do a search you will find very positive reviews... I think personally best bang for the buck skimmer out there..

I was debating between a SWC 160 and Bubble Magnus NAC7 for my 100 gallon reef tank. I ended up with the BM-NAC7 because of reviews and price. I've had it for about 6 months and very impressed with performance and maintenance is a breeze. I would highly recommend

Im in the process of joining the BM club! Just purchased a NAC9, not to many people have this skimmer, but like said above they're the best bang for your buck. BM has the nac 9 rated for tanks that are anywhere from 400-530 and its sells for just 400. you cant beat that... even if its realistic numbers are lower like 300-400, thats still an awesome price! and its sizes its perfect! no need to wonder whether it will be too be to fit under my stand or how im going to plumb around it. im excited...can you tell? lol

I have the nac7 on my 120g and I am very happy with it. it is silent and does the job nicely. I am seriously considering the nac9 for my 210g.. The only thing that concerns me a bit is their air intake numbers are lower than some of the competitors. Seems to me when making bubbles, more air is better.

good point but i think the air intake is proportional to the pumps GPH. i cant wait to get this thing its going on my 120 till the 180 im working on is ready. reason i chose it was that it was the perfect size for my current sump, a 45 long, so i could only work with skimmers that have a foot print that fits in a 12x24" space and the nac 9 fit the bill perfectly

Where did you find the nac9? I've looked atthe bm website many times and there are a few I'd be interested in but it seems that they're not all available everywhere. Their hero line looks nice too. Uses aquabee pumps and there are a few that use eheim. Much higher air intake rating. Don't know how much it matters but it seems like a good way to compare skimmers which is not an easy thing to do given all the variables

SoCal topical fish outlet is where i ordered from. I really like BMs because they're reasonably priced, and like i said above; even if you lower the rating by 100g its still a great price, and from those who have owned one ive only heard good things. it comes wednesday!

Yeah I found it I guess mine is a NAC-7 direct from the factory so It has not names on it and was sold as a SC-150 but it is a BM NAC-7 for sure. I can wait to get it, should blow away my old SWC NW110.

ive owned 2, the bm150 and the cs-180, both using the aquabee. aside from some odd models(bm200 w. eheims i believe), most run the atman pumps, which seem to finicky AFTER you tank em apart. i think most of the headaches come from reassembly not being done. from my experience, very reliable with no failures for the years of service.

I have a BM 3.5 for my 65g and love it. Simple, efficient and the price was outstanding from BRS.
