APEX vs Profilux

Any opinions on these? Like; how reliable, ease of programming, ability to run LED's and Vortechs? They seem to have the same functions but with one being a bit pricey. Lets say if you had a choice which one would it be?

I did have that choice and chose Profilux. No regrets whatsoever!

snorvich, are you running Vortechs with yours? If so do they run wireless like with the APEX or do you do away with the Vortech controller and use the Profilux program

You cant really go wrong with either, they are both great. Apex can't be beat for bang for your buck. It is a great, reliable controller that is good quality with great support.....If you are tight on money it is an easy choice. Profilux is a little more powerful and has some great integrated hardware that works directly with it...like dosers you can use for dosing, top off, and water changes with no need for outlets. Both contorl Tunze and Vortech as well as LEDs/

I have owned both, the Profilux briefly. I am most likely going to try Profilux again since I am switching to LED most likely, and they give great control over AI Sols. You get easier control over dimming with the Profilux.

i liked it so much i bought 1 for my nano that i ended up taking down so i have a backup unit that i haven't ever needed to use
