Ultra red rose Anemone Multiplication Growth
Bought one of these from "Box of water" in London Ontario, it was labeled as a ultra red rose bubble anemone, i paid $90 for 1 the size of a quarter, they were asking $120, anyways ive had it in my tank for about 3 months,, it has only gotten smaller not by much. This is not my concern, my concern is that now i have 7 of these now,, i guess my question is do u think they are what they told me they are, or do i just have some crazy multiplying crappy anemones i will post pic, with question to help with answer, tank levels are all in check and i feed well,, (i do not over feed them) tank livestock is 2 nemo's 1 corus wrasse 1 bluethroat trigger 1 copperband 1 flame angle 1 diamond goby 1 firefish and a 7inch peacock Mantis Shrimp,, tank is over 2 years old, anyways a appreciate help or advise from anyone knowledgeable in this area, thanks

Follow up Question
sorry for this as i couldn't find the edit my post option, anyways my question is do 'these' types of anemones stay smaller then usual as mine has not really gotten much bigger but has cloned from 1 into 7 and all are doing ok just staying smallish , i figure they are happy because they split but stay together, if they weren't happy, id think they would walk, but have stayed within each other,, do u think i got lucky with a expensive anemone or are these just some random anemone fake out,,, i never thought expensive ones would multiply so easily and fast,, if it keeps at this rate,, these babies could pay for tank in long run. anyways input would be appreciated, thanks

First off I highly doubt that is a rose anemone doesn't look like any I have ever seen. Second Anemones split when multiplying they don't just spit another one out or cast one off. It could be some other type of coral not sure the picture is not really all that good. I doubt it's an anemone though. If you can take one of those things, place it in a container and take it to the LFS you trust and ask. Let us know what they say so we can all learn the ID.

I hesitated to post on your other thread because you were looking for positive answers. Google mojano anemones and you will have to judge if that looks like what you have.

No problem, I hope they are not mojanos. If they are I would not go back to that LFS.

the sad part is, I have been seeing a few of these type of threads popping up lately where people are selling mojanos as BTA's or others that have bought/tradded something for them.
either way the person that ends up with the mojanos get the bad end of the deal

BTW...
To Reef Central Sorry you got ripped off. I'd try taking them back to the store you bought them and calling them out. Here's your other thread with more info added for you. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2017021

On a side note, how is it keeping the mantis with those fish. It doesn't bother them? Any tips?
