proper way to add vinegar to kalk solution...
I'm assuming you just add the vinegar then add your kalk and mix. Just wanted to be on the safe side though. Also how much more kalk can be absorbed with the addition of vinegar. I know 2 teaspoon per gallon without the vinegar. Thanks guys!

I dissolved the kalk in the vinegar then added the solution to the container.

The usual recommended limit is 45 ml vinegar and 15 ml kalk per gallon. It's possible to go higher, but many tanks see a lot of bacterial growth when the kalk gets pushed. This article has more details:
http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-01/rhf/index.htm As far as mixing, yes, you can just pour the vinegar into the container and stir with the kalk.
