How many AI units for cube?

Hello everyone. I'm in the planning stages of my next tank. It's going to be a 30x30x20 cube. I'm leaning towards LEDs for lighting. I'm thinking of going with AI LEDs. How many units would I need? Tank will be predominantly SPS. Thanks

The AI units are supposed to cover a 24x24 area raised 12 inches above the tank. You could probably get away with 1 if you concentrate the corals in the middle. You will definitely will have dark areas on the edges. 2 units would be ideal in you setup. I have a 45x27x20 on order and will be using 3 units. You can always start with 1 and then add another unit if need be. Good Luck

On my old 93 cube I needed two to get a good even coverage. Mounted about 4.5 inches apart. One was OK at 14" off the tank but 2 did the job very well. My friend has 2 on his 93 mounted side by side (making a square) with the 4 inner optics 40 degree and all the perimeter 70 degree. Its lit up very well.

I would go with two. Good coverage. Be sure to start with lower intensity.
