Skimmer pump upgrade to more gph

MRC OF200 skimmer, wondering if I go with Sicce PSK2500, would this be ok?

Original pump was rated @ 430gph, the Sicce is rated at 660gph.

Is it one of the beckett models? I have crappy internet atm so I don't want to go digging around for it but...

If yes its a beckett driven skimmer you need to see what the gph @ 12foot of head is. The higher the better.

If its a pin wheel pump then it would probably be fine. What is the neck and body dimensions of the MRC.

It's a Pin Wheel pump, Body Diameter is 8"

Here's a link to a short description:

BeefRuilders website has a page about them also, but RC doesn't allow the link.

I don't think MRC makes these anymore. But for my sump dimensions (really limited space), it will fit perfectly. I purchased it a month or so ago, brand new in the manufactures sealed box for cheap. Unfortunately, I broke the pumps ceramic shaft when I dropped it...
