I've been using reef crystals on this tank. I measure the water using API test kits.

My preferred salt is ESV B-Ionic. Next in line to ESV is Instant Ocean. Salts I wont use anymore are Reef Crystals and Coralife.

Seems everyone in my area uses Kent. But I notice when it comes to Reef central I don't see a lot of people mention it. Is Kent not as available everywhere?

i currently have a bucket of IO reef crystals and TM bio actif.. i add mostly reef with some
TM mixed in for a type of carbon dosing. i have come to the realization that the salt you use means less then keeping ALK stable over all. i am sure i could succeed using any salt. |

I use Tunze Reef Excell. Mixes great with no residue, levels are good and it's affordable from BRS.

Used NSW for years till they shut down our supply line.
Now I'm using IO or Coralife, which ever is on sale or avaiable at the store. No issues.

I'm currently using coralife and had great results with it so far. I sometimes have to add mag, alk,, and cal but for the most part it has been good for me.

Reef crystals. Group buy brings it down to just under $50 for a 200g box which makes it the cheapest in the area.

I'll use either IO or Coralife. I like the Coralife because it disolves quick. I'm mostly FO.

Reef crystals. Seems the be the best bang for the buck for me. There are a few cons with it though, but Im not adding as much supplements as I once was. Takes a bit more mix to mix a batch up to par. Overall a decent salt. Ive used NSW, Coralife, Oceanic, Instant Ocean, Red Sea, Rea Sea Pro, Tropic Marin... the list goes on. All pretty good. Just make sure to test to find out each bands strengths and weaknesses and add accordingly.
