Bought dry rock from BRS, how to properly make sure of no pests?

Not sure if this is silly.. But i want to make sure there are no possible bubble algae spores or any other types of pests that may be dormant.. I just tossed about 150 lbs in a 40 g bredder w/ ro water and filtration.... Will leaving this in there for two weeks be ok? or should I add some bleach?

(bought the rock to build around my center overflow, tank is setup w livestock already, cant take risks!)

You are ok, some of the dry rock from brs is live rock that was dried out recently and some are from very old reefs that are no longer under water. Either way, not much lives without water which is one reason why dry rock is purchased instead of live rock.

I don't believe you will get bubble algae on the dry rock but it will come in on live rock if you buy some. I have yet to see bubble algae on my BRS rocks.

sounds good guys, i hate the stuff, along w any other pests, so im just being very proactive... Its sitting in ro water now, will take it out in two weeks and start the build...

will adding a heater and leaving it on 90 degrees help die off?
