Aquariapure denitrator
I bought a denitrator some time ago for my biocube but never set it up. my nitrates stay about 10 which isn't too bad but i want to start trying to keep some sps so i know that they should be at zero for them. i was wondering if running it would be okay because i have a 2.5 inch blue maxima in my tank and some dragon's breath macro. i also run macros in my sump. will zero nitrates be that harmful to the macros and clam and is it really necessary to have lower than 10 nitrates for sps? my phosphates stay at zero so they are not currently a problem.. would i be better off just dosing vodka? any help would be appreciated.

I'd think 0 nitrates and 0 phosphates would end up killing the macro. I just don't see what it would use for a food source if the reactor consumed it first.
