Anyone customizing their AI Sol modules?

I've noticed on the 2 major AI Sol threads (one is 89 pgs long) that most seem to just have the 'blue' modules which have 1 white, 1 blue & 1 royal blue LED in each puck vice the 'white' modules which have 2 white & 1 blue LED per module.

I just bought 2 white modules to replace my 2 250w MHs. I also have 6 PowerBrite blue LED strips & 2 T5 actinic bulbs. When it's time to replace the T5s &/or my PowerBrites start to fail I will be buying a blue module so that I'm completely LED.

At that point I figured I'd swap out some of the pucks on each module to come up with custom arrangement so that all 3 modules are the same vice having a white, a blue & a white across my tank.

So here's my question: Has anyone else bought both types of modules & mixed the pucks to come up with a different arrangement of color spectrum and if so, what arrangement did you use? Or is everyone just setting different intensities for the white vice the blue vice the royal blue to get teh color temp they want?

From what I understand you cannot mix white and blue modules unless they are on separate controllers. The blue modules use three control channels and the white two.

Is there a way to switch out some cool whites for neutral or warm whites? I figure an extra puck goes for $25 in case something goes wrong. If its a possibility what would be involved?
