Adding used sand to established tank
I recently purchased a used tank that has a bare bottom. I have had the tank up and running for a few months now and am looking to add a DSB. I have some used sand and wondering the best way to add the sand to my tank. I have heard a few different suggestions such as just adding the sand only a few cups at a time, cleaning the sand and adding an inch to the bottom at once, and so on. Looking for some opinions on what the best option is to adding used sand to an established tank.
Thanks in advance. |

If you add all of the sand at one time you will have a problem if it is too deep. Hope you like to read because it will save your a$$.
