Water cloudy after waterchange
Hey everyone I did a WC on my cube today and the water I made came out cloudy and I make it in a blue bin so I didnt notice this until after I filled the tank back up. It cleared up in a few hours and everything looks happy but what caused this?
I mixed salt for 2 days moving the powerhead anytime I walked past the bin does this happen to anyone else?

Hmmm. What salt were you using, and was the water up to temp?

Yah, IME this happens with some salt if mixed at certain temps. It used to happen to me years ago when I used IO and mixed with cold RO/DI water. I've seen other threads where they say the cloudiness is fine and it never hurt my previous tanks.

I would say your alright also but if you want to make sure I would make sure your salinity was spot on and then test Calc and Alk to make sure you didn't precip the tank due to high calc from your salt. I have read stories of some people letting salt sit and the last of the salt is saturated with calc or alk and causing spikes.
