Shopping for reef supply
Just wondering where everyone buys their reef supply?
Local fish store? Online? (if so what sites) Other (please specify) I usually buy most of my supplies at the local store. |

bulk reef supply
aquacave marinedepot thatfishplace Doctor foster and smith most are near me and I get my stuff in 2-3 days with ground shipping. I use bulk reef supply for carbon,GFO, and all my RO/DI filter needs. Also bought all my rock from them. Aquacave used them on blackfriday for my light fixture and some other stuff. Also RC5 is their 5% discount code. Just used that fishplace because they had free 49$ or more order ships free and they had the few things I needed. Marinedepot has almost everything and pretty good prices. Doctor foster and smith when they have their frozen food sell they have everything you can ask for food wise atleast for me and love when they have their frozen food sale. |

I try to support my LFS any time I can. But sometimes if I need something they can't order or the price difference is alot, I order online. I have used the following companies with great sucess.
marine depot aquacave dr. foster and smith big al's and i think those are the only ones I have used. Oh I have also used live aquaria for live fish but thats owned by foster and smith too. |

BRS, aquacave, premium aquatics and my local LFS reef culture are tops in my opinion.

Really depends on what it is. There are a lot of things my LFS doesn't carry, ATI T5 bulbs for example. They have CoralLife, other LFS in the area may have other brands, but nobody has what I'm looking for.
On the other hand, they now carry the skimmers I like, the food I normally use, my preferred salt and some of my additives. Those I'll buy at the LFS. In my case, there aren't a lot of these items that they sell for a lot higher than I would pay online with shipping. Jeff |

I buy most of my stuff online, but that's as much a function of me not having a lot of time than anything else. The closest LFS to me is an easy 30 minute drive without traffic, and I don't usually have the time to blow an hour or more to get something. I'd rather order it online and have it delivered.
