yellow watchman and longnose hawkfish.
I was wondering if my yellow watchman / tiger pistol shrimp combo would be safe with a longnose hawkfish.

Baensch implies that out of the hawkfish this might be the safe one and you do have the goby to help protect it. However, if you value your amphipods, and they are worth valuing, this very cool fish is to be avoided.
Amphipods and mysid shrimp aside, personally, I wouldn't do it -- I like peace in my tank, and don't care to have one fish eyeballing another critter with dinner on its mind. If it did, it could create stress between the hawk and the goby. Twenty people may post to say theirs have gotten along for years - I have no experience with this combo, but I don't like it much. Tank size would be a factor. You might consider putting that in your sig so people will already know when responding to a question.
