Disaster Thread
Short version of the last couple of days events goes as follows:
I own a up and running 29g tank. Looks great and is very stable. I want bigger. I convince wife to upgrade. We drive an hour to pick up a 100g cube with custom built stand last night. It comes with multiple things. Full sand bed (in buckets) ONE 250w mh light, 29g sump tank, skimmer, etc..etc. Get home last night and bring in the stand and equipment. The tank was too heavy for my wife and I so I wait till this morning to have a friend come over to bring it in from the truck. Long story short, he drops it without warning and spiderwebs two sides of the 3/8 thick drilled tank. So now I'm stuck with a stand/canopy that was designed for a 36x24x26 tank and a bunch of left over equipment. It was a plug and play system that was supposed to be up and running within the week. I don't think I can afford another tank to be build. Does anybody have any suggestions other than making a bon fire? |

if u dont want to buy another tank i will part out the equipment and u may recover most of ur cost. or if u decide to keep everything u can buy a tank later in future and u will have everything to run it. u can always browse the used equipment sale forums here and find a tank for much cheaper. there are 3-4 tans for sale right now as we speak.
by the way sorry for the loss.
