coral and IR light
Can coral be effected by IR light. I have a network webcam for my tank and I never really went on it at night but the IR lights on it make it look like a huge flashlight there really strong lights and i was just looking at the night vision and I was wondering, does this effect coral at all like can they see it or can fish see it because i know humans and animals cant.

Anthony.Luciano-
If the bulb/light is remote located, then there will be no effect on the animals. The fish will not "see" it, and the corals...can't "see". If the bulbs were directly over the tank, then you would probably get alot of added heat, as infared light is direct transference of heat. Hope this helps some... Scott |
