Orphek PR-25 for 40 Breeder?
Would 2 of Orphek's Par38's be enough light for a 40 Breeder? I'm still looking at lights and the simpler the better.
My other option is 4 BoostLed Par30s. That is a lot of bulbs over one tank. I like the dimmability of the Orpheks and it looks like I only need 2 bulbs. But it is much more expensive than BoostLed. For BoostLed, it is much cheaper to get 4, but then I will either have a jumble of cables if I want to get each one on a separate timer. |

The Us rep for the company recommended 3 over my 40 gallon breeder. Let me know if you go with the pr-25 or the Boost leds. I'm contemplating between the pr-25 or the pr-156 models.

i've got 3 par30s from rapid (almost the same as boost) on top of my 40br. i have an island on the left side so the lighting is just right for me. if you want sps or any high light corals get 4. my setup is on a timer then a short extension cord(with 3 outlets), then each bulb is on a clamp-on flood light with the reflector off, plugged to the extension cord. (they are all on the same timer) 60 degree lenses also. hope this helps
