Reintroducing myself to the saltwater world
Hi there guys, names Mike A number of years ago I started a saltwater fish tank and well..... Lets just say I was young, and extremely limited on funds.
But I retained a lot of what I read and learned and ready to get my feet back in the water! Got my 20 Gallon High Aquarium along with some of the old equipment from last time and even some base rock sitting in a box, leak tested, wiped clean with water and vinegar, rocks sprayed down and mad sure no creepy crawlers where in there, old broken equipment replaced and now have almost everything to get ths bad boy up and running properly this time. Got my birthday in 2 weeks and sure I will be 20 and most people are expecting to have this huge dinner with my cooworkers and friends but I'm just asking for a better skimmer of better light (damn you VHOs!). Cause Imma nerd like that. I was just kind of introducing myself saying hey what up. |

Get some nice t5 lighting or a skimmer that won't take up so much space or suck! Luckily I only plan to keep fish as of right now till I am set with having enough money for a car, another job after my seasonal position is done, and balancing this thing. But since I am not going back to school right away I need some sort of hobby and something complex to keep my mind sharp so my brain doesn't go to mush! And also I love fish haha
I swear the stand is the last thing I thought I was gonna have trouble with. I can't find one anywhere! Craigslist, savers, salvation army, the other pet stores besides Petco ($60 for a flimsy stand? I think not). I just want the sand already so I can finally cycle the darn thing. Probably should fix my camera as well so I can document it. Good thing I have plenty of time cause I am stil deciding on my last fish! |
