Anyone seen their stomatella spawn?
Yesterday I was observing my tank as always and I saw smoke coming from a rock. I thought to myself, what the heck!? As I looked closer I saw the tiny stomatella I took from my dump and threw into the DT a month ago! He was spewing this smoky liquid into the tank! I didn't have time to grab my camera but I wish I had!! Anyone seen this before? I hope to expect babies soon!

that's funny because I saw the exact same thing this morning. Thought about getting a camera but thought it'd be too late. It kept on spewing (can I say spewing?) for about 2-3 minutes.

I have seen the spawning event from time to time. You should expect to see babies soon - yes. I saw about 10 of them in my sump the other day; all are 2/10" long.

I haven't seem my stomatella do it yet, however I saw the coolest thing ever a few weeks ago. I was at my sisters, 180g tank, and noticed that all her micro brittles " I'm sure well over a hundred" were crawling out of the rocks, up to the highest point they could find, and spawning. This lasted for 45 minutes or so, and as soon as they would spawn, they would disappear back into the rock work. I did take advantage of the event and harvested a few to take home. :-)
