ORP gradually climbs (now at 445)
I have an APEX to monitor ORP. In my past experience with my old tank ORP would only get up to 400 with Ozone dosing, and usually would be in the upper 200's or low 300's on a normal basis (no Ozone).
On my new tank, not much bioload at all yet, just 4 fish (in a 450g), the ORP slowly rises to ~450 after being cleaned. I use a soft bristle toothbrush to clean off debri, and then it drops down to ~320, just to climb back up over a few days. Is it possible my ORP is just very high, or should I consider recalibrating my ORP (of which is not recommended by Neptune Systems)?

Was reading:
http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-1...ture/index.php And wondering if it is from an overload of carbon running on my tank. I use a normal amount of Rox .8 as my primary carbon source, changing it out every 2-3 weeks. But I recently (couple weeks ago) setup an Ozone reactor that uses 8 cups of carbon (API lower grade type) on the output. The ozone generator is turned off until I figure out the ORP issue. Would this make sense in combination with low bioload?
