Is this water level too high for skimming?
I just got this skimmer setup and I am still battling water in the cup. It seems that just as I get it to the right level a few minutes later there is water in the cup again.

I like to let my skimmers break in a spare tank outside encase they overflow not good inside. Can you raise the cup more.

I think that is so it does not overflow onto the floor. I would raise it and see what happens.

Also, reef octopus is a sponsor of the forum and has their own page. Jeremy is great to work with and can likely get you going quickly!

You can also put something under the in/out tubes to raise the skimmer if need be to lower the water level in the skimmer. You can also modify the cup to a remote container like I did with this one, although I never used it. ![]() |
