should I dip chili & sun corals?
I'm on my way back home with a chili coral and a sun coral rock.
Should I dip these in coral Rx? Is it safe? Also can macro algeas be dipped? I got a cool macro from petco when I was getting a maxijet for my fuge earlier. What should I do to make sure I don't transfer any of their plentiful ich into my tank on it other than rinsing it in a bucket of tank water? |

Ich can re-infect fish for up to 3 weeks or so. After I go through a dipping procees, I QT everything for at least 4 weeks. Fish will go for 6 weeks, but I like a little overkill. I have so much going on, with everything else, sometimes things go a little longer, depending on how my QT parameters are holding up.
Remember, research the individual specimens before bringing them home. Don't impulse buy...I know it's hard, but try!
