Moving my live rocks somewhere

folks, I really need your help.

I have DT 150 Gal
SUmp: 90 gal in basement.

I wanted to have another 30 gal and thrown some of the live rocks from my DT. I might have purchased them more than what required(not too sure, but its doing very good job so far).

So, the idea is..to put the 30 gal under the sump and feed it with gravity, then return with maxi jet 1200 to the sump. Is this enough flow? I will put some rocks from DT and it will clear the mess:-)

Please let me know what you think of it.
I will make sure the gravity water does not overflow if maxi jet stop working by any chance.

Thanks in advance

You could have the two tanks at the same level, but if you have the upper tank draining into the lower one, you will have a flood sooner or later. I don't think a maxijet 1200 would have enough head pressure to act as a return pump unless the tanks were at the same elevation.

you could use some PVC and plumb the tanks together... the 30 gal would be a nice fuge. You also have the option of keeping it as a HT/QT
