Closed loop pump suggestions.
I'm doing a closed loop on my next tank, 96x36x28, 4 sided viewable. The tank is going to be a FOWLR tank with a few softies, but it will eventually turn into my reef tank after I finish my schooling and get settled in an area. Any suggestions on a pump for this... Efficiency is a plus, but water flow is more important... Thanks in advance...

Dart/Snapper is hard to beat
snapper does 2000-2500 gph at 100 ish watts Dart does 3500 ish gph at 170w There is also the hammerhead which I think does 4000-5000 GPH at 300 ish watts however I believe on paper you get more flow & pull less power if you use two Dart's Depends on the amount of flow you want

Thanks for the replies. I have been leaning towards the dart or hammerhead, I like the flow the hammerhead produces for the price. dzfish17, what other flow do you have other than the dart? I think two darts might be the way to go. I don't want any powerheads in the tank. I'm taking it that darts last for a good while? How often do you service them and how do you service them? Sorry for asking so many questions, I've only had PH's and want to try a more natural look on the new tank... Thank you again for helping me out...

As far as how long they last... its been running strong for close to 4 yrs. I havent done any maintenance on it yet, but I think its about due. I'm using some canister filters (left over from when the tank was FW) and power heads behind a rock wall that I built so you dont see them at all. I'm very anal about seeing equipment in the tank so I understand why you would want the two CL setup. I built the returns from the cans into the rock wall so you dont see them either.
