Anyone know if all the remoras are the same, just different pump sizes?

What I mean is if I was to get one with a rio 1200 pump, can I just swich it with a mag 3?

Do you know if anything would happen if I put a larger pump on the smaller one?

Nothing bad will happen but it won't make it skim any better. I had a Pro with a Mag 3 or 5 -- I can't remember which. Not a bad skimmer but not great, either.

well, the remora with the MJ1200 did well for me, but i have heard that not all of them are good, and some get lucky with the skimmer they get. Save your money and get a sump with an in sump skimmer, because as much as i loved the remora, i ended up discovering the amazingness of a sump and a in summp skimmer

To answer your question, yes you can change pumps.
