Hair Algae in Refugium

Is this a problem? Isn't the algae supposed to be controlled within the fuge so the hair algae will stay in the refugium? I hope.. Am i right or should I remove it?

Usually you have one or more macro algaes in a refugium. They use nutrients such as nitrates and phosphates to grow. This reduces the available nutrients to (micro) hair algae.

As long as the GHA stays in your refugium & does not spread to your display, there shouldn't be a problem, it is using up nutrients in your water column, like macro algaes do, which is one of the main reasons to have a refugium.

I wouldn't worry about it either if it's just in the sump. Do you also have chaeto or any other type of macroalgae in your refugium?
