fertilizer?

So what are your favorite fertilizers for phytoplankton cultures?

+1.FAF Micro Algae Grow=Guillard´s f/2.

Heh does one "brand" of f/2 perform better then another is they are the same formula?

I've used hydroponic fertilizer 2 parts bought locally.
Seems to work just fine. I've raised clown larvaes with it

Good question.Probably because of bad choice or conservation of the trace elements and especially the vitamin mix.FAF product works well,I have used it for years.But I had bad results with one from a commercial supplier.
You can order media from the Institutes culturing algae,but they are very expensive.
Or you can make your own DIY,not a problem to prepare simple NO3 and PO4 stock solutions.

We mix our own, I was just curious on the brand issue. Now I'm curious as to which brand you had issues with though

Curiosity is good for fish,since it kills the fish hunter!
Not brand name,probably an off line product from that firm.
