How often do you feed your tank, and what are you feeding it with?
I have a 90G mixed reef with approx. 140lbs of live rock on a 3 inch+ sand bed in the tank. I also have a 30+ gallon fuge with skimmer and Phosban 150 reactor with Pura Complete/ mud based chamber with 35-40 lbs of rubble rock and plenty of caluerpa/ sponge with an occasional Pura Complete pad/ Mag 12 back to tank. Duel overflows along with 3 Korila #2's for circulation. 8 bulb T5 lighting fixture. Inhabitants are listed below as close as I can estimate to give you an idea on feeding needs and bioload. This tank has been up and running for 2+ years w/o any crashes or major problems. I've been feeding a mix of Rod's and various frozen brine shrimp every 2-3 days and adding DT's 1-2 times a week since I started this tank. I recently added the Splendid Leopard Wrasse which has been doing great since the 2nd morning when the lights came on. I have increased my feedings to 2 smaller ones per day based on recommended amounts for the new wrasse. It loves the Rod's and frozen brine shrimp and eats like a horse everytime I feed, along with almost constant pod hunting the other 6-7 hours that he is out a day.(I have a very large population of pods that is closely monitored) I have increased my water changes along with upping my skimming to compensate for the extra feedings, and my tank and levels have never looked better. I'm interested to hear what others are feeding their mixed reefs, and how often etc... Every other website I read has a different take on what should or shouldn't be done. I don't post here very often, but thought what better place to hear what others are having success with in their tanks.

I feed a mix of NLS pellets, rods, cyclops and mysis during the week. I rotate frozen foods but feed NLS every day.

For my fish I feed pellets twice daily, mysis shrimp twice a week and nori sheets twice a week. For the corals it's a mix of coral frenzy and phytoplankton each evening when the lights go out.
